Welcome to the Maine Juniors LOCAL LEAGUE!!!
This is a practice winter league from December through March, that practice 1x a week on Sundays in Saco. We will also divide the boys and the girls to adapt to their respective games fully. It is filled with sessions to enhance your fundamentals of the game, position training, play some mini games, build up your volleyball IQ and have 3 in-state playdays. The age rage is 13 - 18 years old and will be divided up into middle school and high school courts within those time frames. The Local League is a newer program to MJ this year and is a great alternative to players just starting out, those who cannot commit to a full club season or who do not understand what Junior Olympic Volleyball is all about - we are here to help you out!!!
**NEW** There will be 2 sessions of local league in Lewiston this year! Two 8-week sessions practicing once a week. Must sign up for each session separately.
Session 1 to run from December through March
Session 2 to run from March to April
Goal:
Our local league goals are to develop players' skills and help them improve. To gain experience in the gym running drills, and through game play. We hope to have at least 1 playdate with Saco’s local league.
Practice times are TBD either Tuesdays or Fridays
Saco to start December 7th (boys & girls)
Lewiston to Start December 15th (to be verified)
